Is the Pulwama attack mastermind killed? This question definitely calms the angry Indians supporting the Martyrs.
India recently lost 40 Indian Army soldiers who were returning home in the Pulwama attack on the 14th of February. They were at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Camp in the Pulwama district border during the attack.
TheJaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists claimed responsibility for the attack on the Indian Army soldiers. The Pulwama Attack was led by the mastermind Kamran alias Rasheed Ghazi. He was reportedly killed in an encounter by the CRPF convoy. This has no doubt quelled the anger of Indians who wanted the mastermind killed. However, does this bring an end to the terrorist attacks in Kashmir? Does that guarantee peace on the borders?
More than revenge and killing, India and Pakistan need to display peace on the borders. Taking the lives of innocent soldiers or families is not justified. The wreath laying ceremony was undertaken in Delhi. PM Narendra Modi condemned the act and said that those responsible will have to pay a “heavy price”.
A team of 12 National Investigation Agency (NIA) members will assist the Jammu and Kashmir Police in forensic evaluation of the spot. A lot of support for the martyr’s families were displayed on social media amidst the attack. Slogans like ‘We will not forget. We will not forgive’ were being shared. Chief Ministers of various states contributed a huge sum to the martyr’s families.
