7,000 students to take part in 3-day techfest starting December 14


More than 7,000 students from Throughout the Nation will attend to the Techfest from December 14-16 in the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B). Students will exhibit their own jobs, creations, experiments and models in engineering, physics, artificial intelligence, and robotics.

Students interested in creation will attend the festival to undergo technological progress. Last year’s Techfest seen a session together with Sophia, the first humanoid robot to find citizenship of Saudi Arabia. This season, the exhibitors comprise Furhat Robotics-Sweden, B-Human-Germany and Magni, Ubiquity Robotics-USA.

The Robowars contest will see global teams in Brazil, Mexico, Russia, Iran, Nepal, Bangladesh and India. To encourage innovation among youthful minds, Techfest will sponsor contests with accumulative prizes values’51.2 lakh. The festival will sponsor speakers such as the Dalai Lama, international lifestyle coach Gaur Gopal Das, and Suresh Prabhu, Union trade ministry.
